For over 28 years, we’ve grown alongside people, embracing innovation and evolving without fear of taking risks. Today, our team of more than 800 professionals operates across Brazil, delivering solutions in Accounting & Tax, HR Services, Judicial Calculations, and Third-Party Management.

Our approach blends technology with a personal human touch. We believe innovation only matters when it creates value in a simple, accessible, and meaningful way. We partner with companies of all sizes and industries, delivering intelligence, accuracy, and lasting relationships. More than a service provider, we become an extension of our clients’ teams—turning challenges into opportunities.

Bernhoeft was founded by Luiz Carlos Bernhoeft and Luiz Carlos Bernhoeft Junior. Our first office was located in the Benoni Menelau building in Boa Viagem, Recife. At the time, we were a small team of a father, son, and two interns, already dedicated to providing accounting services.

1996

We expanded beyond accounting by establishing new partnerships. That year, we began collaborating with law firms in Recife, which led to the creation of our Tax practice.

1998

A milestone year for Bernhoeft. Thanks to a client who valued our work, we secured a contract with Petrobras in the area of Third-Party Management—a new field at the time, both for us and for the Brazilian market. We also welcomed Luciano Bezerra, an experienced professional in Third-Party Risk Management, who would later become our partner.

2003

We launched our Judicial Calculations division, securing major clients from day one. Our first contracts were with Telemar and Celpe, both facing significant labor-related contingencies. Following the success of these projects, Cosern and Coelba soon joined our portfolio.

2006

This year marked the arrival of Igor Meireles, a homegrown talent from our very first trainee program. Today, Igor is a partner and leads our Accounting & Tax and HR Services divisions, with a tenure of over 20 years at Bernhoeft.

2009

We opened our São Paulo office, expanding our presence in Brazil’s largest business hub.

2011

A year of strategic transformation. Our Accounting and Tax areas were integrated, offering combined accounting and tax advisory services. We also launched our HR Services division, led by our newest partner, Rafaela Lucena—another important chapter in our journey of growth and innovation.
